GEORGE HARB: Collections

I

George Harbs’ career began at the tender age of 6 years old in the Buffalo area.  After years of vocal practicing and development, without any professional training, he joined a band in the mid 1980s. Four years later the band ,Hot Wax, won the Buffalo Music Awards.  The band broke most attendance records in the Western New York area,  Later, he expanded his interests and became the “voice” of the semi professional football team, The Buffalo Gladiators. He was also a reporter for the Buffalo Destroyers.

His love of music and his meetings with Ricky Nelson brought him back to the stage after 11 years,  He performed at the Tralf in his comeback performance, a benefit for a young girl requiring neck surgery.  He wrote and recorded his first song, Just A Call Away, in 2002.

George is the most requested independent artist on the European Internet.

Now George has numerous CDs’ that he has written, arranged and recorded.  Channel 7 chose the words from his song, Never Let You Go, which he recorded for the survivors of New York 9/11 disaster, to be aired in memory of that tragedy.

He also had a commercial that broadcast on Channel 7 from October through November 2005 promoting his CD, Collections. This CD  contains some of  the best love songs recorded and also has a few bonus holiday songs.

Now George performs locally at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Casino and Raceway. Check the Gusto in Fridays Buffalo News.
